Drone technology is revolutionizing the way industries approach building inspections, offering faster, safer, and more cost-effective solutions. Companies like Hammer Missions are at the forefront of this transformation, combining AI and automated drone flights to deliver detailed, actionable insights for architects, engineers, and contractors worldwide.
London Startup Accelerates Global Growth with Fresh Funding Boost
London-based Hammer Missions, a leading innovator in drone technology and AI for building inspections, has raised €1.6 million in new funding to accelerate the development of its platform and drive strategic expansion into the North American market. The funding round saw participation from ACF Investors, along with prominent angel investors such as Graham Hunter (Founder and former Chair at GeoSLAM), Martin Grant (former CEO, Energy at Atkins), and Stephen Bullock (serial tech investor and former President at E100 Angels).

Transforming Building Inspections with Drone Technology
Founded in 2019 by Varun Sarwal, Hammer Missions leads in drone technology for the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries. Its AI-powered software helps owners, architects, engineers, and contractors conduct detailed inspections through automated drone flights.
“Our goal is to make inspection data more accessible and actionable,” said CEO Varun Sarwal. “This funding will help us expand globally and advance our drone-based AI solutions.”
Hammer Missions has supported over 20,000 drone flights and 5,000 3D data projects, partnering with firms like Thornton Thomasetti and SGH in the U.S.
Meeting Industry Needs with Smarter Solutions
Inspections are vital for safety and compliance, especially with regulations like the UK’s Building Safety Act. Traditional methods are often costly and time-consuming. Hammer Missions uses drone technology and AI to streamline inspections, automating structure mapping and analysis for tasks like roof and facade investigations, defect detection, and thermal forensics. This reduces manual effort, saving time and costs while enhancing accuracy.
“Hammer Missions transforms the economics of structural assessments,” said Sam Fennell, Partner at ACF Investors. “Their innovative use of drone technology makes inspections faster, safer, and more cost-effective.”
With new funding, Hammer Missions plans to expand in the U.S. and continue advancing drone technology for building safety and efficiency.
