Nigeria Startup Program iDICE Aims to Boost Tech Innovation, Funding Access, and Entrepreneurship Growth

The Federal Government of Nigeria is preparing to launch a major national initiative, the iDICE Startup Bridge program, on 16 March 2026, aimed at accelerating startup growth in Nigeria and strengthening the country’s position as a leading technology and innovation hub in Africa.

The initiative is part of the broader Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) programme, designed to support the next generation of entrepreneurs across the country.

Supporting Over 100 High-Potential Nigeria Startups

The iDICE Startup Bridge Nigeria program will select and support more than 100 startups from all six geopolitical zones of the country. These startups will be chosen based on their innovation potential and ability to scale.

Once selected, participating startups will gain access to:

  • Business mentorship and expert guidance
  • Investment readiness training
  • Tools and resources to help attract funding
  • Support to scale and grow their businesses

The program is designed to bridge the gap between early-stage ideas and investment-ready enterprises.

Driving Nigeria Startup Ecosystem Growth

The initiative reflects the government’s strong commitment to building a thriving Nigeria startup ecosystem. By focusing on digital and creative industries, iDICE aims to unlock innovation across multiple sectors and encourage youth entrepreneurship.

Officials say the program will help:

  • Stimulate innovation and digital transformation
  • Create new employment opportunities
  • Support the development of future Nigerian unicorn startups

A Step Toward Africa’s Innovation Leadership

The iDICE Startup Bridge is not just a national program, it is part of Nigeria’s broader ambition to become a leading African technology hub.

By investing in mentorship, funding access, and startup development, the initiative aims to position Nigeria as a key driver of innovation and digital entrepreneurship in Africa.

Building the Next Generation of Nigerian Entrepreneurs

With structured support and nationwide reach, the program is expected to play a critical role in shaping the future of startup entrepreneurship in Nigeria. It connects founders with the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to turn ideas into scalable businesses.

As Nigeria continues to expand its digital economy, initiatives like iDICE Startup Bridge are set to become a foundation for long-term innovation-led economic growth.
