Tech Startups in Africa Gain Funding, Mentorship, and Global Exposure Through Qualcomm Initiative

In a significant boost to Africa’s growing tech ecosystem, Qualcomm has officially announced the selection of 10 innovative startups for its 2026 Make in Africa Startup Mentorship Program. Now in its fourth year, the initiative continues to spotlight high-potential tech startups in Africa that are solving real-world challenges through innovation.

The competition was intense. Over 1,200 applications from 45 countries were submitted, reflecting a surge in technology-driven entrepreneurship across the continent. From this diverse pool, only ten startups were chosen, each demonstrating strong potential to deliver impactful, scalable solutions.
