Malaysia’s Selangor Life Sciences Accelerator equips emerging biotech, healthtech, and green science startups with mentorship, funding, and industry exposure to scale globally.
Twenty-one promising life sciences and healthtech startups have been selected for the Selangor Life Sciences Accelerator Programme 2025, a flagship initiative by Invest Selangor in partnership with NEXEA. The program aims to fast-track the commercialization of Malaysia’s cutting-edge scientific and medical innovations.
The selected startups, announced during Orientation Day at VIDA Bukit Ceylon, span sectors including biotechnology, digital health, agriscience, and green technology, representing Malaysia’s next wave of innovation.
Four Months of Mentorship and Growth
Over the next four months, participants will receive tailored support to transform breakthrough ideas into scalable global businesses. The program offers:
- Mentorship from life sciences experts and serial entrepreneurs
- Funding opportunities of up to RM1 million per company
- RM60,000 in total cash prizes from Invest Selangor
- Strategic introductions to investors, corporates, and regulators
- In-kind resources and benefits from program partners
The accelerator is designed to bridge the gap between research and commercial execution, helping startups advance into pilot projects, licensing discussions, and growth funding rounds.

- Bioloop Sdn Bhd – developing eco-friendly bio-based materials for medical and industrial use
- PlusVibes – a mental wellness platform combining technology and therapy for psychological health in Asia
- YSBiotik Sdn Bhd – focused on microbiome therapeutics and functional probiotics
- Nanofertech Sdn Bhd – innovating nanomaterials for diagnostics and advanced manufacturing
- GreenSHeart Sdn Bhd – applying biotechnology to sustainable agriculture and food production
- Health Digital Technologies Sdn Bhd – enhancing hospital operations with AI-powered digital health solutions
Other participating companies include Pixelence, Engage Life, PALM FIBER, Ocean Rich Resources, Microbiome Sdn Bhd, Fasclone ABI, Iotech Solutions, Aeolia Studio, AAF BioScience, Promed Health Ventures, AgroPV Integrated, KT Academy, Healthapps, and Ummah Worldwide Resources.
Looking Ahead: Demo Day and Global Impact
The program will culminate in a Demo Day on Feb 10, 2026, where startups will showcase their innovations to investors and potential partners.
This initiative aligns with Invest Selangor’s mission to position Selangor as Malaysia’s leading life sciences and innovation hub, fostering collaboration between research institutions, entrepreneurs, and industry players.
As these 21 startups embark on their acceleration journey, the Selangor Life Sciences Accelerator Programme 2025 highlights the growing synergy between science, entrepreneurship, and investment, positioning Malaysia as a regional leader in biotech, health innovation, and sustainable science ventures.
